Use me Lord September 03, 2016

The hardest thing to pray is "what do you want me to do today Lord? Use me." Why is this so hard? Why can we not freely give back to the one who gave us everything? It is actually really simple...sad, but simple. We want to do what WE WANT the Lord to ask...not necessarily what He has planned for us. There in lies the rub.
.
.

It's a choice.
.
.
Do we give to Him all of ourselves, freely without reserve or do we only do what is easy and doesn't really ruffle our feathers?
.

Stepping out in faith is difficult. Allowing ourselves to be open to ridicule (or worse) from those who choose to live by their flesh is terrifying! I know!! It is!! I can't lie to you and say that it is easy. I can tell you this truth though, every single time I am obedient to the Lord, step out of my comfort zone, I AM BLESSED. When I choose to follow His plan, as uncomfortable as it may seem, I grow in ways that I would never have thought possible. When I have been there in that moment, that divine appointment that God has orchestrated for me to be a part of...I can feel it...my soul has been changed for the better. It's phenomenal! Oh how I wish that feeling for everyone!! Our God is so good that He will not force you to be His hands and feet. No, He waits patiently for us to choose Him, to want to serve Him in any capacity He has planned. He waits for us to come freely. We all have the opportunity with every glorious new morning, we get the blessed question of, "whom will we serve today? "
.

I CHOOSE JESUS. 💛
